My New MacBook Pro

I just picked up my new toy, a MacBook Pro.

  • 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor
  • 1GB DDR2 Ram
  • 100GB HD
  • ATI Radeon X1600 (PCIX) 256MB video card
  • Bluetooth/Wi-Fi
  • 15.4” Display supports up to 1440×900 widescreen
  • DVDRW/CDRW
  • built-in iSight

I’m running OS X 10.4.6 and Windows XP Pro SP2 off BootCamp beta. I’m impressed with how Windows is running though the software is still beta. So far Windows has crashed twice, haha not a surprise. Anyways BootCamp is a dream come true. As an ex-PC user, I missed playing games and let me tell you, the games run great on this machine.Unfortunately, development will even be slower for my e107 plugins coz PHP4 is not available for OS X Universal Binary, yet. Only PHP5 beta has been made so far and there’s a ton of bugs with some of the plugins. And many users of the plugins are still on PHP4.Those still thinking of getting an MBP, get one! It’s worth it. By the way, for those who haven’t seen or is interested in seeing the new Apple commercials, check them out here. They are hilarious and true! http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ you will need quicktime to view them.
