Rosewill RSV-L4500 15 bay server chassis

I meant to post this as soon as I uploaded the video on Youtube. But here is a short video on the Rosewill RSV-L4500.

I bought it from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Thickness-Rackmount-Black-RSV-L4500/dp/B0091IZ1ZG) for a very good price. Newegg reviews seemed great and what sold me is it can hold up to 15 drives. I didn’t need the back plane. It came with fans instead which always helps for cooling many hard drives.

The only thing I didn’t like is the craftsmanship. The edges weren’t that clean. There were some sharp and unsmooth areas. I didn’t get any cuts while working my way around the chassis but came close numerous times. I would buy another one if it came down to it again… for the same price I paid for it ($85). As a matter of fact I may need another sometime in the future.

Here’s another video with working parts.

The fans are not as loud. Keep in mind though that not all fans are plugged in. It will be slightly louder when all of them are plugged in and running. I will post more when my other parts come in.

Here are some pics I took.
